REALITY TV - Linda Robson - Third Evictee From The Jungle

Friday 23rd November 10:20pm - I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here
Linda Robson leaves the camp
Actress, Linda Robson is the third celebrity to leave "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here" and its not surprising, although I'd rather Eric have left instead.  Linda kind of got sidelined among her camp mates and hadn't really had a chance to shine for viewers.

Linda seemed pleased to leave the jungle, during her interview with Ant and Dec her main concern was seeing her grandaughter.  She wants boxer, David Hayes to win, stating that he's a "lovely guy" who looks after everyone in camp.

Can David win the crown for King of the Jungle?  I predict Hugo or Ashley to leave next.  It should be Eric but everyone loves a baddie in the mix so he might just make the finale.

UK SOAPS - Hollyoaks Minibus Crash Leaves Repercussions

Hollyoaks Channel 4 weekdays 6:30pm is back as The Top of the Soaps for me after the explosive “wedding crashers” storyline last week. Four deaths, one critical patient, an unwanted pregnancy revealed and a whole bag of drama awaits those mourning the deceased.

Rot in hell Maddie
So the wicked witch bitch Maddie finally got her comeuppance. A burning piece of flying debris in her face is more than the evil, manipulative bully deserved but I didn't want her to die. I wanted her to suffer for the misery she's inflicted on Esther and leaving poor Neil to burn alive. Thankfully, her best friend Tilly discovered her nastiness before Maddie died but the rest of her sheep – Sinead, Ruby and George are deep in mourning of their heroine.

Widow McQueen

How much more can poor Jacqui take?
Watching Jacqui McQueen falling apart over the dirty rat, Rhys wasn't easy viewing. She loved him with all her cold heart and now joins sisters Carmel and Mercedes as a widow McQueen. Either way, Rhys was going to leave her after being ordered to leave the village by Tony and Myra and had the crash not occurred, cheating Cindy was going to take off with him. I can't believe that Tony is sticking with the munchkin minx, despite knowing of her affair with Rhys. Is he that desperate to be married? I mean how many times has Tony got wed now? Die-hard fans want Tony and Jacqui back together. Its in the soap fate, they belong together.

Back to Rhys, tonight's episode (Monday 19th November), signs are showing that he could possibly be the father of Sinead's baby. Hollyoaks never tie off things simply (except with their black characters) so there could be more heartbreak for Jacqui to come.

Jono dies in Ruby's arms
Will Ruby Button grow up after the loss of Jono? What lies in store for newlyweds Ste and Doug? Ste ain't gonna die, I'll put money on it and fans desperately want him and Brendan to get back together. Many were disappointed that Doug wasn't killed in the crash.

Why was Cindy's daughter Holly brought back when she barely spoke two words and had little interaction with her mother before swanning off screen again, and don't even get me started on how much she's grown. Will she be back to stir up Cindy's stewing pot? Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm loving the 'Oaks and I sincerely hope the team will scoop some awards next year at the Soap Awards. Powerful acting, brilliant writing, the perfect ingredients to a Successful Soap.

REALITY TV - X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing Roundup (w/e 18th November 2012)

Strictly Come Dancing may be winning the rating wars, but after this weekend (18th November 2012, X-Factor is the show that everyone's talking about.

Denise Van Outen headed the leaderboard
with her Egyptian performance
Strictly came live from Wembley Arena this weekend and the usual favourites, Denise Van Outen, Lisa Riley, Dani Harmer and Kimberley Walsh all dazzled on the dance floor, with Denise bagging the first 10 points of the series from three of the judges. Nicky Byrne also made a great effort this week but fell into the bottom two with Daybreak TV reporter, Richard Arnold. Richard rightly left the competition, but for a man who'd never danced before and with the Daybreak celebrities history (Kate Garraway, Fiona Phillips), he did himself proud.

I'm still struggling to understand why Victoria Pendleton is still in the competition. She can't dance! Simple. However, looking at the way the public vote in these TV programmes (see X-Factor below), its clear to see people are voting for personalities and TV entertainment, rather than the talent.

Lisa Riley after her heavy landing
Loving Lisa Riley in Strictly, but that splits landing at the end of her performance on Saturday evening, was neither pleasant or ladylike. I was shocked she got back up.

Ella performed "You're The One That I Want"
Over to the X-Factor, Guilty Pleasures was the theme this weekend. The stand out performers were Ella Henderson, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur, real talented singers with bags of potential, yet Ella and James ended up in the bottom two. Viewers and judges were equally shocked. I was surprised with James being in the bottom two but had a feeling Ella was in danger and the fault laid in the hands of her mentor, Tulisa.

Did the public opinion of Tulisa cost Ella Henderson votes?
Tulisa has been getting a load of bad press recently, the latest being romantically involved with a footballer with a pregnant ex. This possibly turned viewers off voting for her last remaining act, Ella, the only girl left in the competition. Also, since the live shows have started, Tulisa has been encouraging people to keep the most talentless act, Rylan Clark, in the competition because he's an “amazing performer”, although he can't sing. He can't dance very well either in my opinion but if you give a dog a bone... As a mentor and judge, Tulisa can't expect people to support her acts if she's praising the rival. Ella, a fabulous singer for a young 16 year old, doesn't get the props and flamboyance on stage that Rylan has every week. She doesn't need it, her voice is her weapon but if you go by Tulisa's judgement, people want to be entertained with wackiness and wildness, it doesn't matter whether they are good singers or not. Since she knows the magic formula, why didn't she jazz up Ella's performances? Viewers patience is running thin with Tulisa and I'll be very shocked if she's on the judging panel next year.
Rylan Clark safely through to another week
Viewers aren't voting for the talent because they know the good singers will gain a recording career on the back off the show and winning The X-Factor hasn't always proved a huge success. Think back to Joe McElderry and Matt McArdle amongst others. For years its become apparent that the show is more about the judges than the contestants and its own X-Factorness has well passed its sell-by-date. You don't believe me? Take a look at the passion and production put into X-Factor USA and compare the two.

Rylan and Christopher Maloney should not be on the stage, better singers have left. Christopher, I should say, does have a good voice but the people voting for him will not buy his records. Simon Cowell seriously needs to revamp the show before it becomes a joke – if it hasn't already – so that viewers will enjoy watching it for the talent and not for the sake of the judges shenanigans.

Who'll suffer the fate of the public next week? Also, Louis Walsh opted to send home James last night. Was that his own choice or is his head stuck so far up Tulisa's bum that he voted to help out a friend? Something smells fishy.

Agree with my opinion or strongly disagree...  Comments greatly appreciated or have your say @lady6x on Twitter.

'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' Camp Mate Lowdown

Soooo, its been a week since 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!' started on ITV 1. The politeness has been broken as the celebrity camp mates have settled into their jungle home, personalities are showing (or not), egos are growing and its almost time for viewers to vote to save their favourite stars. Let's see how the line-up fares so far in good TV value.

Ashley Roberts : The former Pussycat Doll and only American has blended in quite nicely into camp. Male viewers will be satisfied seeing Ashley in a bikini but she needs to do a bushtucker trial or speak out a little more to get the votes.

Brian Conley : The comedian showed good form of character when the camps were divided. However, since camps united, Brian has shown form of stirring... Firstly when he erupted over David Haye's campfire antics, then again when he bitched to Rosemary Shrager, on “behalf” of his fellow celebs. No-one likes a bitch, especially a male one that isn't gay. I feel he has issues with being the alpha male in the group, feeling threatened by David and Eric Bristow, both strong   male characters within the camp.

Charlie Brooks : Eastenders “Superbitch” Janine Butcher is actually quite nice which is a good voting pointer for Charlie. Having done a joint trial, and gaining some stars, with Helen Flanagan, she's shown she has guts. Her friendship with Linda Robson has shown through. They give each other looks and nudges, mainly when the subject is Helen. I know it's not going to happen but she looks cute with David Haye too.

Colin Baker : The former Doctor Who star didn't show much potential at the start but has shown to be a good fatherly figure for the camp and has also provided a few comedy moments (his rapping task). The lack of meals has shown on the portly gentleman. Will he be voted to do any trials or will he blend quietly in the background to make it to the finals?

David Haye : I thought he'd be quite egoistic, being a boxer, but The Hayemaker has proved to be a worthy camp mate. He smashed his way through the first bushtucker trial so he can definitely bring the food in, should he get the chance. He hasn't shown any threatening arrogance and was quite respectful and apologetic when he unwittingly upset Brian. The female campers love him and the lady viewers have had their eye totty seeing his butt in the shower. Has potential to go far so long as he doesn't lose his cool.

Eric Bristow : The dartsman is actually more of a comedian in the camp than Brian Conley with his witty comments and snide remarks. His snide remarks could also land him in trouble in the camp and with viewers though if he oversteps the mark. A lot of talk has been about his moobs and lets face it, ol' Eric ain't afraid to get em out.

Helen Flanagan : Well!!! Helen has been the 'star' of this series and not all for the right reasons. She's been voted to face all the bushtucker trials and bar the last two, failed to bring in the bacon. Now she's 'manned' up and finally got some stars, viewers MAY stop voting for her so other camp mates can get a look in. I always say its hard for a soap star to go on reality TV if they are worse than their character and let's admit it, Coronation Street's Rosie Webster has got more balls and sense than Helen Flanagan.

Hugo Taylor : I've never watched 'Made In Chelsea' so I don't know much about reality star Hugo. The Posh boy did seem full of himself on arrival in the jungle and prone to hissy fits. His crying didn't do him any favours with the viewers but he did show a different, funnier side when he was starving. He likes an old rant about the cooking which is always good viewing. Hugo is a grower...how far will voters let him grow?

Limahl : The 80s pop star arrived late in the jungle and has shown he isn't afraid to voice his opinions when he snapped at Helen. Will he blow at someone else? He needs to if he's going to make an impact on viewers.

Linda Robson : The actress needs a trial to bring out her character. When the camps were divided, her bubbly mother role was set and she was confident. When they joined, Linda's role was overtaken by Nadine, now Rosemary's in the camp, Linda seems a little lost, although she has a good alley with Charlie.

Nadine Dorries : The absent politician isn't a favourite with viewers but proved her worth with the camel toe eating trial. She's very outspoken and likes to make her presence known at all times. I can't see her lasting long in the jungle. She hasn't got the likeability factor and she's a politician, of course.

Rosemary Shrager : The 'Ladette to Lady' cook bounced into camp with her strong matron-like manner and has taken over the cooking duties and no-one (except Hugo) has challenged her purely through fear. Rosemary has had some good comedy moments (the slide, dancing in the jungle arms) in her short time in camp but her sternness may upset her fellow camp mates in time.

Strictly Come Dancing 2012 - Victoria Needs To Get On Her Bike And Off The Dance Floor

The competition in Strictly Come Dancing 2012 BBC 1 (Saturday and Sunday) is hotting up now. There's no clear favourite front runner in the celebrity ballroom series but the ladies are running the show. The likes of Dani Harmer (aka Tracy Beaker), Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and Lisa Riley have shown some nifty footwork.

Victoria and Brendan 10th November
I have to say this...and I know I'll probably get slated but Victoria Pendleton has to go. She's got no rhythm and looks awkward unless pro-dancer, Brendan Cole is holding her up. Its a public sin to criticise any UK Olympian in Britain, but the track cyclist should stay on her bike, and off the dance floor. Fingers crossed she's out tomorrow (11th November) because its uncomfortable viewing.

UK Soap Bitches

Two Soap characters have been really bugging me at the moment. The first is Maddie Morrison (Scarlett Bowman) from Hollyoaks, Channel 4 mon-fri 6:30pm, the second, Katie Macey (Sammie Winward) from Emmerdale, ITV1 mon-fri 7pm, thurs 7pm and 8pm.

Malicious Maddie
Maddie, along with her cackling bum lickers, Ruby and Sinead, has been a total bitch to poor Esther Bloom. The bullying displayed is in its vilest form... internet trolling, fake friend identity, turning people against Esther with malicious lies and more. Scarlett plays the character so well you just want to slap her.
Katty Katie
Bitch number two, bloody Katie 'newlywed' Macey! Ever since the equestrian businesswoman hooked up with Declan Macey her character has become so full of herself, its hard to believe she was once the loveable Katie. In tonight's episode (Wednesday 7th November), I was proud of mousey Gennie giving Katie a verbal slap down, it was long overdue. There she was ranting about Chas's affairs and scolding Gennie for knowing beforehand and not telling her. I was like “Hello!”. Is this the same Katie that slept with her brother-in-law and gave a baby away in a shady surrogacy deal on a moral high horse?

This month sees both soaps with big storylines that will have an impact on these bitches. Next week in Hollyoaks there will be a crash involving the student characters. I'm really hoping Maddie suffers in some way because I can't stand her manipulating any more. Later in the month, in Emmerdale, Katie will fall down a mineshaft which will threaten her life. Her character won't die but at least she'll be brought down to earth, the cheeky mare.
